Interested in partying the night away at sea? If so, you might want to check out one of the Summer Music Cruises being offered by Bay Street Cruise Company from now until September 26th. Limited to guests who are 21 or older, the Summer Music Cruises provide adults with a great way to mingle and have fun in a unique environment.
Launched on June 13th, the Summer Music Cruises offer music, dancing and fun on an 1100 passenger vessel on Friday and Saturday nights. A few weeknight cruises are also available. The evening cruises, which typically begin boarding at 7:00 pm and leave at 8:00 pm, return at 11:00 pm. There are also afternoon cruises available. These cruises usually begin boarding at 3:00 pm, sail at 3:30 pm and return at 6:00 pm. Be sure to check your event schedule, however, to determine times, as the times do vary with some of the cruises.
The cruise ship itself is quite expansive, featuring three floors and a large top deck. DJs and live bands are featured on the nights without a special guest. On July 11th, July 25th, August 8th and September 26th, for example, Jim Pluckett provides the entertainment for the cruise. Hot 96.9 Boston provides the entertainment on August 14th and September 13th, while Kiss 108fm, Romeo is in charge of the fun on August 14th and August 22nd. There is also a special Country Cruise coming up on July 12th and a Jam’n 94.5 cruise on July 18th. The Boston Rock and Soul Festival, featuring the sounds of Brothers McCann, Jugghead Band, Baker Thomas Band and more, will be on board July 20th. Tickets for these events are as low as $25 each. Visit the Summer Music Cruises webpage for a full list of events and ticket prices.
In addition to providing the Summer Music Cruises, Bay Street Cruise Company provides ferry service from Boston to Provincetown. The ferry, which takes 90 minutes to complete the trip, operates 7 days per week. Throughout the months of July and August, the ferry offers extended early morning times that depart from Boston as early as 8:30 and from Provincetown as early as 6:30 in the morning.
A special USS Constitution cruise is also available on July 14th from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm, with boarding at 10:00 am. During this cruise, the USS Constitution, which is the oldest fully commissioned naval ship in the world, completes its annual turnaround within the harbor. A full lunch is served with this cruise. Tickets are $55 per adult and $35 per child.
All cruises begin and end at the Bay Street Cruises Boston boarding docks, which are located at 200 Seaport Boulevard. Open Air Parking is available next to the dock at a cost of $15 to $15 per car per day. Underground parking at a cost of $29 for 12 to 24 hours of parking is also available at the Seaport Hotel, which is located across the street from the docks.
