Meeting House Sunday
On November 20th, Old South Church in Boston returns to the Old South Meeting House for a Thanksgiving Festival Worship. Taking place at one of the oldest churches in Boston, the service begins at 11:15 am with prelude music beginning at 10:45 am. Music will include the Old South Ringers handbell choir, the Old South Church Choir under the direction of Minister of Music Harry Huff and Thanksgiving hymns. Senior Minister Rev. Nancy Taylor will preach while the Governor’s Thanksgiving Proclamation will also be read. The Meeting House is located at 310 Washington Street in the heart of downtown Boston.
Historic Thanksgiving at the Old Manse
On November 20th, head to the Old Manse for a historic Thanksgiving feast. Special house tours allow you to take in the sights, tastes and aromas of the holidays as you pass through the kitchen and parlors of the 18th century house museum. Following the tour, you will have the opportunity to taste desserts that were inspired by historic menus. Thanksgiving Brunch at the Verve Crown Plaza
The Verve Crown Plaza will be hosting a Thanksgiving Brunch on November 24th at 11:00 am. The brunch will include a variety of holiday and seasonal offerings. Adults are $42, children ages 4 through 15 are $25 and kids under 3 are free. Reservations are highly recommended. The Verve Crown Plaza is located at 1360 Worcester Street in Natick.
Thanksgiving Day Dinner Train
The Cape Cod Central Railroad will be hosting a five-course gourmet meal as you travel through beautiful scenery in the elegance of a bygone era. 13th Annual Wild Turkey 5 Mile Run
On November 24th, the Boys & Girls Club and Salem Park & Recreation Youth programs will host the 13th Annual Wild Turkey 5 Mile Run. All proceeds for the event will go toward supporting the two hosting organizations. The event will take place in Salem.
Thanksgiving at Franklin Park Zoo and Stone Zoo
Franklin Park Zoo and Stone Zoo will offer special holiday prices for Thanksgiving. Admission will be half-price on November 25th, giving you a great opportunity to extend family time even further. Parade of the Big Balloons
An annual Springfield tradition, the Parade of the Big Balloons takes place on November 25th. The parade features giant helium balloons led by the 75 foot “Cat in the Hat,” while other features include marching bands and a visit from Santa. The parade takes place in downtown Springfield.
