Museum of Fine Art’s First Friday February

While First Friday events are not necessarily anything new with the Museum of Fine Art, the event taking place on the Friday before Valentine’s Day www.mfa.org/programs/special-event/mfa-first-fridays is something special. In addition to the usual art, music and cash bar, the February event will feature special “love potion” cocktails. If you are looking for someone to celebrate Valentine’s Day with, the Museum of Fine Art First Friday event may help you find what you are looking for! Tickets to the event are free for members, $25 for non-members and $23 for Seniors and Students.

Enjoy Wine and Chocolate

The Boston Wine School offers a special “In Love with Wine and Chocolate” class and dinner on Valentine’s Day, lasting from 6:30 to 9:30 pm. For just $115 per couple, the event offers dinner, 5 chocolates and wine pairings. The event kicks off with a two hour class, where you will learn which wine and chocolates pair well together while tasting a variety of wines and chocolates. Following the class, you will enjoy an Italian-inspired dinner accompanied by both white and red Italian wines.

Casablanca in Cambridge

If movies are more your style, you might want to head to Cambridge for the annual viewing of Casablanca. Every year, the community shows the 1942 classic starring Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman at its Brattle Theatre. This year, the movie will be showing on both February 13th and 14th. You can even choose to purchase deluxe seating for two, which provides you and a date with a private area in the theatre where you will enjoy a bottle of champagne and table service during the film. Tickets are $100 per couple, and only one set of tickets is available for each showing.

Live Theatre

If you would rather see a live theatre performance, there are plenty of shows taking place on Valentine’s Day throughout the city. A few examples include Disney on Ice at TD Garden, Motown the Musical at Boston Symphony Hall and Blue Man Group at Charles Playhouse.

Dinner Cruises

Valentine’s Day is also a great day to take a romantic dinner cruise in Boston. Offered by Odyssey, your Valentine’s Day cruise will include a gourmet dinner in an elegant dining room, champagne, live music and dancing. With the city skyline as your nighttime backdrop, a dinner cruise offers a great way to enjoy the beauty of your partner as well as the beauty of the city. Valentine’s Day cruises are offered February 13th through the 15th, with both dinner and brunch cruises available.

Hotel Getaways

If you want to take that special someone on a romantic getaway, there are several Valentine’s Day hotel packages available throughout the city.
