Opera lovers living in Arlington homes are in store for an incredible evening later this month. On October 27th, come hear the beautiful opera and chamber music at Music to Cure MS. The concert will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. at Park Avenue Congregational Church at 50 Paul Revere Road in Arlington.
Multiple sclerosis is a terribly debilitating disease that affects many people. Fortunately, there’s a great way for people living in Arlington homes to help raise money for research to find a cure. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door. People with MS, students, MIT staff, and elders can purchase tickets for $10. Proceeds will be donated to Accelerated Cure Project for Multiple Sclerosis. They are conducting a number of research studies to understand and cure this disease.
The featured singer is Barbara Quintiliani, a beautiful operatic soprano who actually has multiple sclerosis herself. She will be performing with several other accomplished opera singers, one violinist, and Seele Musicale. The concert program is a selection of classic opera pieces, with a few fun songs from Broadway musicals thrown in.
