Donate-coats-if-you-live-in-Arlington-MA-300x198Winter is very cold when you live in Arlington MA.  Warm clothing is a definitely a necessity, not a fashion statement.  That’s why Anton’s Cleaners is sponsoring the 19th Annual Coats for Kids Drive.  Between October 14th and January 11th, bring gently used warm coats from your Arlington MA home to Anton’s Cleaners or Jordan’s Furniture.  Anton’s Cleaners will clean the coats for free and distribute them though the many organizations that help with Coats for Kids, including Salvation Army, Middlesex Human Service Agency, Wish Project, and many others.

Each year the wonderful community of people who live in Arlington MA come together to collect over 60,000 coats for adults and children.  More than 250 schools and 300 clubs and companies organize coat drives.  Since the program began in 1995, nearly 800,000 coats have been distributed.  This is one of the largest coat collecting drives in the state, and coats for kids, babies, and adults are all accepted.  Coats should be in good, wearable condition, free from stains and rips and with all zippers, snaps, and buttons in working order.
